ABOUT
Mao Hanada is a Japanese filmmaker currently residing in NYC and Tokyo. She has been working in front and behind the scenes in both the fashion and the independent movie industry. Her goal is to raise cultural awareness while banishing stereotypical conventions.
Mao has acted in various independent films and music videos and worked with many filmmakers and photographers. She has featured in numerous music videos including "Cig" by Baby FuzZ, AKA Sterling Fox who was a songwriter for a Swedish DJ, remixer, record producer, musician Avicii.After several years of experiences as an actress, she began focusing on her passions as a director, video editor and photographer. She recently wrote, directed, and edited the music video for "Twice" by Christine Dominguez who is also a Grammy-awarded co-writer of the 6x platinum single "Airplanes" by B.o.B, Hayley Williams and Eminem.
